Embedd.it is a platform for embedded developers that turns messy PDF datasheets into structured component models and generates clean, reusable drivers and configs. It works as both a standalone web app and a VS Code extension. Engineers use it to speed up device bring-up, avoid manual mistakes, and stay flexible across different MCUs and vendors.
My role was broad: from the very first pitch deck and demo, through to the VS Code extension and full working product with enterprise customers. As the only designer, I touched everything — product flows, UI, marketing sites, investor materials, event stands, brochures. Basically, every visual and product experience that users and investors see passed through my hands.
Over the past few years, I’ve supported the team from the first pitch all the way to raising millions in investment and shipping to real clients. I love designing complex products like this, and Embedd.it has been one of those rewarding journeys I keep coming back to.
Below you’ll find a few visuals and videos from the project. If you ever want to chat about the details, the challenges, or the product design approach I used here — drop me an email, I’d be happy to share more.
Connect, configure and generate drivers for your peripheral components. Full compatibility with selected targets and easy configuration transforms the journey of integration.
Generate drivers for your MCU devices with all registers and component data already extracted for you. Simple function mapping, events and state machine management give you full control while removing unnecessary work.
Vendor-agnostic solution for MCU configuration and device-tree generation. Accelerate product configuration by selecting from a wide range of supported MCUs or by uploading your own dts file.
Conclusions
Over the past few years, Embedd.it has grown from an idea and a pitch deck into a full product with enterprise customers and millions in raised investment. As the only designer on the team, I shaped everything from product flows and the VS Code extension to all the materials investors and users would ever see.
Beyond product design, I also covered every marketing need — from investor decks and conference booths to brochures and landing pages, many of which I built hands-on in Framer.
It’s been a rare opportunity to support a company’s journey end-to-end and to see how design drives both product adoption and business growth. And I’m still proud to be part of it today.
