Before design, I studied aerospace engineering in Ukraine. I never ended up building rockets, but that way of thinking stayed with me. I like to understand how things work, break complicated problems into smaller parts, and see how everything connects.

That mindset naturally carried into product design, where I’ve spent my career turning complex, often unclear problems into products people can actually use.

The way I work has changed a lot over the years, but one thing has stayed pretty consistent: I like to understand what I’m designing, why it matters, and how it fits into the bigger picture.

I don’t believe in one “correct” design process. Some problems need deeper exploration, while others need a clear answer quickly. Knowing when to go deeper and when to move is part of the job.

I care a lot about craft, but I’m pragmatic about the role of design inside a company. Good design should help the product and the business move forward.

Experience also gives me a lot to draw from. I don’t need every solution to be new. I care more about choosing what fits the problem, adapting what already works, and knowing when something genuinely needs a new idea.

Outside of work, I take photos, run, ride bikes, travel, care too much about coffee, and spend a lot of time with my dog.
